You can run your computer in safe mode by following these steps:
1. Close out all of the programs you are currently running on your computer.
2. Restart the computer
3. While the desktop computer begins to reboot, press the "F8" key over and over until a reboot menu appears on the screen.
4. Press the directional arrow buttons down and select the boot in "Safe Mode" option.
5. Wait for the computer to restart.
6. Navigate to the file you want to remove.
7. This may be in "My Computer" or in the "Program Files." Select the file or virus you want to remove and right-click it.
8. Select "Delete" and the file is going to be removed from the computer.
9. Restart the computer,
10. The computer should not have any trouble rebooting and the file you removed is now permanently gone.
