How To Asked By Ken Leung 1 month ago
Hi I am using windows XP on my Acer AcerPower 2100 desktop computer some time my computer does not work properly. I have doubt that there is a virus file in my computer so I tried to run it in safe mode but I do not know the proper way to run a computer in safe mode. Can someone tell me the right way to run a computer in safe mode?

To run your Acer Aspire Desktop computer in safe mode close out all of the programs you are currently running. Shut down Windows once the computer is free of any running software. Restart the computer. While the Acer Aspire desktop begins to reboot, press the "F8" key over and over until a reboot menu appears on the screen. Press the directional arrow buttons down and select the boot in "Safe Mode" option. Wait for the computer to restart. Navigate to the file you want to remove. This may be in "My Computer" or in the "Program Files." Select the file or virus you want to remove and right-click it. This brings up a pull-down menu. Select "Delete" and the file is going to be removed from the computer. Shut down the Acer Aspire and restart the computer. The computer should not have any trouble rebooting and the file you removed is now permanently gone..
